Life In Gambia – Malaria

Life In Gambia - Malaria
 Life In Gambia – Malaria

Dear friends and family

I am writing my article about what I

have been facing all this weeks.

I am in a bad condition I have been sick

from malaria and I feel so tired and weak.

But I give thanks to god the savior who

protects me.

Now am getting better , I thank god for that.

The healthcare system in Gambia is like everything here

no one seems to care and when you have a urgent sickness

and you can’t pay the bill as a poor man or a boy or elder,

there is no treatment for your health in Gambia.

No one seems to take care of the poor ones in the country .

All this rain coast malaria for all gambians comes because of

the mosquitoes and the doctor do never  do something

without payment.

There is no injection and treatment if you live in Gambia

In this sickness this past days our bag of rice finished and

I was so confused and sad because the children were crying .

I went to the Internet cafe to ask for help to have a bag of rice

from the woman who helps me .She does what she can do indeed,

but we are really facing hard times.

I know times everywhere are hard in that world , but we

share helping hands and honesty with love, this is the best in life.

Greetings to everyone world wide
Allover the world god bless
and guide all of us
Amen

Life in Gambia – Today

 Life in Gambia - Today
 Life in Gambia – Today

Well, i went to the bush today with my

sisters to find firewood and it was

raining a heavy rain was coming and

we all take our firewood on our head.

We started running until we reached

home.

We change our cloths to get warm

my sisters and me.

I told them stories about the histories of Gambia and about our

grandma and daddy which have passed away

They where all interested and everyone was asking me :

Habibou , Habibou,tell more!

They were all concentrated on my explanation and stories .

After this I went for studies at the library and later had some

fun with friends we play football and basketball at the school hall library .

Now I am at home chatting with the kids again.

Later after they all fall asleep I am going to study my books

and then I go to bed too .

I  usually wake up in the morning at 6.00 am and

pray to God before the kids wake up and see what

the new day may bring.

God bless you all

Happy -Unhappy – Education The Way Out ?

Education the way out?
Education the way out?

It is not a lack of love, but a lack of

friendship that makes unhappy.

I and my family we are really suffering

without limitation and the live

in Gambia is so hard for the majorities of

the community.

No events have the power to make me

happy or unhappy today.

I can choose which it shall be.

Yesterday is dead, tomorrow has not  arrived yet. I have just one day,

today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

If god will he is seeing how we live in a house of pain and sorrow

with my sisters and no one seems to care about us.

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is

to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with

the heavens, nature and God.

Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be,

really we have no education and we need a better life but

everything has a reason.

Not necessity, not desire – no, the love of power is

the demon of men. Let me have everything have

everything – health, food, a place to live, entertainment –

I and my sisters are and remain unhappy and low-spirited:

for the demon waits and waits and will be satisfied.

By the grace of god all happy families resemble one another,

each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.

I and my family are the unhappy one, god decided

I wish life would change.

Sometimes you have to let everything go – purge yourself.

If am unhappy with anything… whatever is bringing me down,

get rid of it.

Because I will find god people,

I‘ll find that when I am free’ my true creativity,

my true self comes out.

I believe the only way out is education.

Here some pictures of my school.

Life In Gambia

Life in Gambia
Life in Gambia

Life in Gambia is normally nice when you

are living Good, we have nice cultures

here, with lot of rich heritages as well.

The economy is dominated by farming,

fishing ,because of the fertile land of the

country, and tourism.

About a third of the population lives

below the international poverty line.

Poverty is a big crime over here as well, at times we stay without food the whole day and at

times we luckily eat once in a day, life is so terrible here.

In their traditional colorful costumes: a long skirt, a blouse and the kerchief arranged on

their heads, the women look beautiful .

Some carry babies on their back, kids with beautiful brown eyes.

Bright colors and people coming and going ,Brikama market is one of the best places in

The Gambia to discover the local life. It is always busy and so exciting to see lots of busy

people around there

Over 60 per cent of all Gambians and an even higher proportion among poor and

extremely poor people depend on agriculture for their livelihood.

At least half of the country’s poor population is composed of farmers and agricultural

workers.

Farmers in the upland areas are the poorest.

In the North Bank, Nealy Villages around Brikama Town Upper River and Lower River

regions, about two thirds of the population is poor and poverty can be found throughout

the country.

Every year, households in rural areas face the hungry season, a period of two to four

months, the rain season between July and September, when food stocks are low or

depleted.
